Pulaski County has launched an initiative to develop a new Comprehensive Plan covering all unincorporated areas of the County, as well as the Towns of Medaryville and Monterey. The plan will help shape the community’s future by establishing a clear vision and meaningful goals, while providing practical recommendations to guide responsible growth, preservation, and strategic investment for years to come.
Whether you live, work, own property, operate a business, or simply care about Pulaski County's future, your participation is important. There will be multiple opportunities to share your ideas and help shape the vision for the County, and we encourage your participation throughout this process.
Why the Plan Matters
The Comprehensive Plan will:
Establish a shared vision for Pulaski County's future
Be used to guide future land use and development decisions
Protect agriculture, natural resources, and rural character
Support vibrant communities
Identify transportation and infrastructure priorities
Help prioritize public investments
The plan will serve as a long-range policy guide for County officials, the Plan Commission, County Council, residents, businesses, and community organizations. It will also inform potential future updates to the Unified Development Ordinance and other strategic planning efforts.
